Corfu dayboat route

Corfu is one of the seven principal islands located in the west of mainland Greece, collectively known as the Ionian Islands. Along with the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos, Corfu is also known as one of the three jewels of the Ionian Sea. With a long history and influences drawn from Venetian, Ottoman, Greek, and British empires, the island excellently fuses architectural, gastronomic, and natural beauty. This is therefore definitely one of the must see spots on your sailing adventures in Greece.

Starting from Marina Naok in Corfu, rent a boat in Corfu and allow your breath to be taken away by this Corfu dayboat route and its surrounding marvels.

Syvota

21.5 nautical miles

A village located on the West Coast of mainland Greece, this stunning location of less than 1,000 inhabitants is the perfect stopover between Corfu, and the more popular islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. In addition to its turquoise waters, Syvota’s numerous coves and inlets such as those around Mourtemeno and Mavro Oros offer charming escapes from any surrounding chaos. Be sure to make a stop at Mega Drafi beach, a stretch of beach divided into three that is a swimmer’s paradise.

Paxos

13.6 nautical miles

South of Syvota, the island of Paxos comes into view. Legend has it that this island came into existence when the Greek god Poseidon struck his trident against Corfu, resulting in the beauty that exists to this day. On the island’s Northern tip, you will find the traditional village of Lakka. With its deep harbour that is naturally protected from strong winds, it offers a great docking spot for yachts. The quaint streets of Lakka are worth exploring, and make for a great lunch spot.

Not to be missed on a Corfu dayboat route are the Blue Caves of Paxos, located mainly on the East of the island. This area is abundant in clusters of sea caves that make for majestic views, especially when juxtaposed against the crystal clear waters, hence the name Blue Caves. Those located around Erimitis Beach are especially stunning, offering a feeling of calm and serenity.

Antipaxos

6.5 nautical miles

Bring your Corfu dayboat route to a close with a visit to the island of Antipaxos, located not too far South of Paxos. The blue waters here are reminiscent of those typical in the Caribbean. One of the best spots on this island is Voutoumi Beach, whose clear waters and cliff top bar make it hard to notice time go by. After this, head back to Corfu, where an array of activities await and make for a fantastic end to this Greek dayboat route.
