Cruise from Cannes – 7-day charter itinerary

by | Apr 18, 2023

Weigh anchor and enjoy an unforgettable moment during a cruise on the French Riviera from Cannes. On the agenda: a week of comfort in the most beautiful creeks of the region! How can you resist sailing on the Mediterranean and discovering the area around Cannes?

Cannes –> Antibes = 10 nautical miles (MN)

Antibes –> Fréjus = 25 NM

Fréjus –> Saint-Tropez = 10 MN

Saint-Tropez –> Porquerolles = 30 NM

Porquerolles –> Port-Cros = 15 NM

Port-Cros –> Le Lavandou = 10 MN

Le Lavandou –> Cannes = 40 MN

Day 1: Cannes –> Cap d’Antibes

10 NM (Two hours of sailing)

On the first day of your Cannes cruise, tour the festival town. Have fun looking for handprints of your favourite celebrities on the “Path of the Stars”, then pass by the Old Port and the Forville Market, a covered market offering local products. Then head back to your boat rental in Cannes. That’s it, the departure is launched and your cruise can begin! Head for the Lerins Islands, right in front of Cannes. You will soon arrive at Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, where you can swim away from the tourists. At the end of the day, you will reach the Cap d’Antibes to admire the sunset.

Day 2: Antibes –> Frejus

25NM (Five hours of navigation)

In the morning, sail to the Pelagos sanctuary for marine mammals. This is a Marine Protected Area for the protection of marine mammals. The region is famous for its many species of dolphins and whales, so keep an eye out! Head towards Saint-Raphaël, passing in front of the Estérel massif. It is impossible to miss the red landscapes when visiting the region. Then go along the coast of the Corniche d’Or, which offers exceptional panoramas on the creeks. You will then head to the city of Fréjus in the evening.

Day 3: Frejus –> Saint-Tropez

10 NM (Two and a half hours of sailing)

For this third day of the cruise, we recommend a stopover in Saint-Tropez before reaching the town of Ramatuelle at the end of the day. You will sail in one of the most beautiful places of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, in the heart of the Cap Taillat nature reserve. If you need to refuel, you can stop at the Grimaud port, the main port of Saint-Tropez. Let yourself be seduced by a unique and preserved heritage, landscapes as varied as they are beautiful and idyllic waters!

Day 4: Saint-Tropez –> Porquerolles

30 NM (Six hours of sailing)

Head for the Golden Islands, just a few miles from the coast! The island of Porquerolles is the largest of them. You will find many restaurants, hotels and shops to welcome you. The north coast of the island is the most frequented and lively, especially in summer. Here you will find Notre Dame Beach, voted Most Beautiful Beach in Europe in 2015. It is the largest and wildest beach on the island, located a little behind the village. However, don’t neglect the southern part of the island! On this coastline lined with cliffs and numerous creeks, you can take a swim in complete peace.

Day 5: Porquerolles –> Port Cros

15 NM (Three hours of navigation)

On the agenda of this fifth day of the cruise: fine sandy beaches, lush nature and transparent waters. Join the island of Port Cros, where schools of multicoloured fish populate the translucent and shallow waters of the creeks. It is the first marine park in Europe, and a great place for diving, still in the heart of the Pelagos sanctuary. As you can see, it is a paradise for nature lovers. It offers breathtaking panoramas and you will probably not want to leave, as the colours of the sea seem unreal. We are willing to bet that you will fall in love with the little South Seaport, where the forest falls into the sea…

If you prefer to park in a bay rather than in the harbour, go to Port-Man Bay, where no one will bother you.

Day 6: Port Cros –> Le Lavandou

10 NM (Two hours of navigation)

Set sail towards the bay of Lavandou, passing by the fort of Brégançon. After a tour of Cap-Bénat, stop at Lavandou: today, it is one of the most famous seaside resorts of the Var, with a large marina and fishing port. It is also called “The City of Dolphins”, and it is the ideal place for diving. Le Lavandou offers experienced divers an exceptional underwater world to explore, ideal for initiation and discovery of the sea bed. Lavandou is one of the most romantic places on the French Riviera, and if you are looking for some other similar places check out the 6 best romantic holiday destinations in Europe.

Day 7: Le Lavandou –> Cannes

40 NM (Eight hours of navigation)

Last day of your cruise from Cannes. Get up early to be able to return to the original port in time! Once you arrive at the port, don’t forget to top up your water and fuel, as well as to check out with the owner of your boat or the base manager.
