How does SamBoat adapt to Covid-19?

by | May 25, 2020

SamBoat is working remotely

Since the beginning of the crisis, the SamBoat team has had to adapt to new constraints, and has implemented working remotely. Coffee, a pet, mouse, and computer in hand, the whole SamBoat team has transformed itself to be able to continue the activity during this complicated period.

Our customer service department has found a new way to operate at home. Our team of developers has reinvented itself to develop new features. And we’ve all stayed close to you, whether it’s by email or on the networks, despite an explosion of requests.

Boat Rental Covid Free

Safety has always been our priority. So we do everything we can to ensure that our community is not at risk. In order to ensure the resumption of activity as of May 11th, we have exchanged with boat rental specialists in the field to establish a procedure to follow that respects the social distancing rules.

  • Cleaned and disinfected boat

For each boat rental, the owner must provide himself with the necessary equipment. This includes gloves, masks, hydro-alcoholic gel, disinfectant wipes, as well as an air disinfectant for living boats. The boats will be completely sanitized between each rental. The new check-in and check-out procedures allow to respect the safety standards.

  • Use of paperless contracts

To limit contacts, we advise to use the SamBoat application, and its paperless rental contract. The photos of the condition of the inventory as well as the signature of the contract are made directly on the application. This paperless contract is ideal to carry out the rental while respecting the health measures.

  • Flexible cancellation

Finally, to help you book stress-free, we have implemented a flexible cancellation option allowing a 100% refund up to the day before departure. You will find a small Flexible Cancellation badge on the ads available on our site.

Sailing close to home

Given the current circumstances, travelling is more difficult than we expected in the beginning of the year. Due to geographical limitations imposed by the government in many countries, you might have to reconsider your travelling plans for this summer! We advise you to check the offical government information at the destination before you go.

Moreover, one of the best option this summer is to sail in your own coast or in one of the neighbouring countries! It’s more likely that you will have a chance to visit some close by countries rather than travelling to the other side of the world! Rent a boat to escape the busy beaches and to discover some hidden gems at your destination!
